Born in Naein, Iran in 1980, Mohsen Mahmoodzadeh began his artistic journey in 1999 with photography, cinematography, and short filmmaking. Since then, he has dedicated over two decades to the art of visual storytelling.
He honed his craft at the Tehran University of Art, graduating with a degree in Cinema in 2003. In 2024, he earned a Master's degree in Information, Cultures, and Media Organization from the University of Bologna, Italy — deepening both his artistic and intellectual grounding.
From 2013 to 2020, he taught cinematography and photography at the University of Applied Sciences of Tehran and Karaj, the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, and the Iranian National School of Cinema. Today he is based in Italy, working on projects worldwide and embracing new collaborations across cultures.
