Capturing Stories Through Light
Born in Naein, Iran, in 1980, Mohsen Mahmoodzadeh began his artistic journey in 1999 with photography, cinematography, and short filmmaking. Since then, he has directed short films, documentaries, and a documentary series for television. Mohsen is a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer who is always involved in different video projects.
He honed his skills at Tehran University of Art, graduating with a degree in Cinema in 2003, and earned a Master's degree in Information, Cultures, and Media Organization from the University of Bologna in Italy in 2024.
Mohsen is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), the National Association of Professional Photographers (TAU visual), the Iranian Independent Filmmakers Association (IIFMA), and the National Iranian Photographers Society (NIPS). From 2013 to 2020, he taught cinematography and photography at the University of Applied Sciences of Tehran and Karaj, the Iranian Youth Cinema Society in Tehran and Shiraz, and the Iranian National School of Cinema.
